David Lea celebrates 50 years at Quantil!

Way back in 1975, a young, bushy-haired David Lea walked through the doors of Quantil and into the employment of Warwick Symondson. Between 1975 and 1991, David worked for W.H. Symondson Farmers, gaining valuable knowledge and experience in agricultural and horticultural farming that would pave the way for his lifelong career.
David's favourite jobs around the farm included pacing himself, always agreeing with the boss, avoiding heavy lifting, and maintaining the strictest adherence to tea breaks! 😂
In 1991, things took an unexpected turn when David transferred from W.H. Symondson Farmers to Quantil Limited as part of a business reorganisation. This marked the beginning of David's first official role as a Production Assistant. As his knowledge and experience grew, so did his responsibilities, leading to positions including Seedsman, Production Support Manager, Garden Centre Product Manager, and Transport Manager.
David's job titles may well have changed over the years, but one thing remained constant: he was always a versatile, willing, and adaptable employee.
Barry Pape said:
"Whenever we have needed someone to step up and fill a transitional role, Dave has always been in the frame. We all know Dave is a great team player. He always works to the best of his ability and has been a great colleague to many. I can personally say, hand on heart, that if everyone who reported to me had been like Dave, I would have a lot more hair!"
Thank you, David, for your dedication, hard work, and commitment over the last 50 years. Your contribution to Quantil has been invaluable, and the processes and procedures you put in place have helped shape the business into what it is today.
